About

This blog aims to break down complex technical challenges, solutions, and products related to IT and OT platforms in the mining industry.

I bring hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of these technologies. I have contributed to the development of software and firmware systems such as RTLS, Ventilation on Demand, telemetry, collision avoidance systems (CAS), and IoT/data platforms. Beyond development, I’ve been deeply involved in implementation, troubleshooting, and deployment both remotely and on-site in operating mines.

I have also acted as a technical subject matter expert for digital and collision avoidance systems within a multinational mining equipment environment for one the biggest OEM named Epiroc, where I supported the design and delivery of solutions aligned with high-value operational use cases.

A Note on Context

Every mining operation is unique. Differences in geology, infrastructure, fleet composition, regulatory requirements, and operational practices all influence how technologies can and should be applied.

The perspectives shared here are based on practical experience and are intended to provide useful frameworks and insights not universal solutions. Any approach to ventilation, automation, or system integration should always be evaluated within the specific context of a given operation.

Why This Blog Exists

Despite the increasing importance of digital systems in mining, there are relatively few resources that explain these technologies from an operational perspective.

This blog aims to bridge that gap by providing content that is:

  • Technically grounded
  • Operationally relevant
  • Structured in a way that supports decision-making

Ultimately, the goal is to contribute to a clearer understanding of how mining operations can evolve toward safer, more efficient, and more data-driven environments.

This platform is an opportunity to share practical knowledge gained over the years and to make complex mining technologies more accessible to a broader audience. Feel free to reachout and let me know what you want to hear about next.
